FALSE. There are some subtle, but important, differences in the transposition.
FALSE. So far, the new Rules do not replace the old. Employers must grapple with overlapping and at times conflicting regulations.
FALSE. Unless more amendments to the law are introduced, the principle of equal pay for work of equal value in Malta applies irrespective of sex or gender.
However, some of the new rules may apply only in respect of equal pay between different sexes.
DEBATABLE: Currently the laws include conflicting timeframes.
FALSE. Some rules apply to all employers. Others depend on workforce size.
