Health and Safety at Work Act Enacted

In August 2024, the Health and Safety at Work Act (Act XXXIII of 2024) was published. This Act allowed the Minister to repeal the (old) Occupational Health and Safety Authority Act (Chapter 424) by notice in the Government Gazette.
Legal Notice 321 of 2024, published on November 26, 2024, brought the new Act into force and repealed the previous Act on the same date.
Legal Notice 322 of 2024 established the Health and Safety at Work (Procedures in relation to the Issuance of Administrative Penalties) Regulations, delving into breaches subject to administrative penalties, and setting maximum penalties.
